Gruppo gotico in legno scolpito " La flagellazione di Cristo"La scena è composta con Gesù legato ad un albero, in balia del soldato rappresentato nell'atto di fustigare il Redentore.
La statua è intagliata con grande maestria, con una felice sintesi fra realtà ed astrazione ed una notevole resa espressiva, ottimo esempio del gusto del periodo gotico francese.
La statua misura cm. 45 X 25.

The scene is composed with Jesus tied to a tree, at the mercy of the soldier represented in the act of flogging the Redeemer.
The statue is carved with great skill, with a happy synthesis between reality and abstraction and a remarkable expressive rendering, an excellent example of the taste of the Gothic period French.
